Catherine Tannahill, Director of Dentistry

Catherine is Principal Dentist at The Smile Rooms, Malton, North Yorkshire. She qualified at Manchester Dental School in 1993 and has since completed extensive postgraduate studies, including Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners and a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics. She established The Smile Rooms in 2007, taking over a longstanding practice in Malton, and relocating it in 2011, before joining Portman Dental Care in 2018. She has a particular interest in Advanced Facial Aesthetics and Orthodontics.

Catherine is also Director of Dentistry for Portman Dental Care since 2020, supporting other Portman practices with a team of Regional Clinical Leads and Practice Clinical Leads across the North of England, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland and The Isle of Man. She also assists our Customer Experience team, Procurement team and Learning & Development teams and various initiatives and projects in the Central Team and Senior Leadership Team.
