Clare graduated from Charles Clifford Dental School (Sheffield) in 1997 and began working at Hughes and Owen Dental Care in Swadlincote. She has enjoyed working in general dental practice there ever since, and the practice joined Portman Dental Care in 2019. Clare is the Associate Dental Surgeon at Hughes and Owen Dental Care and plays a key role in the training and monitoring of their dental nurses.
Clare genuinely enjoys providing all aspects of dental care for her patients and is passionate about treating nervous patients. She has provided oral health education to engage and promote oral health to children within the local community schools and preschools for the last 16 years. Clare is married to Mark, who also works at Hughes and Owen, and they have 3 wonderful grown-up children. They also have 4 dogs and are all happiest on a walk with the dogs or out on mountain bikes.
