Any of the above signs could be an indication that braces may be required during a later stage of childhood (between 9 – 14 years old).

We always recommend that it is best for a child to undergo orthodontic treatment when they are still growing, as problems left until adulthood will likely require more extensive work and can take considerably longer to treat.

What braces should my child have?

We offer an extensive range of orthodontic braces to treat many different needs. Every case is different, so we examine your child’s case during a consultation and offer you the most suitable treatment for them.

This could be one of the following:

        • Fixed ceramic braces
        • Fixed metal braces
        • Invisalign clear aligners

How long will my child have to wear braces?

Each child’s needs is different and it will depend on the severity of their teeth. Cases vary and could be completed between 12 – 36 months, but with some minor cases this could even be completed in a matter of months.

During the consultation your orthodontist will be able to give you a more accurate time for completion once they have been able to examine your child’s case.
